Since the Afro-Canadian Entrepreneurs Association launched in 2020, we have helped hundred Black Entrepreneurs with thousands of hours of coaching, training, access to capital and grants to take their business to the next steps. We contribute to a more inclusive and vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem that benefit the entire province of Alberta, fostering economic growth, innovation, and social progress.
Facilitate connections with investors, venture capitalists, and other funding sources and offer financial literacy programs to help Black entrepreneurs manage and grow their businesses effectively.
ACANEA develops training programs and workshops covering essential business skills, including marketing, finance, and operations.
We approach local banks and credit unions for business loans. We Establish a strong business plan and financial projections to demonstrate the viability of the business.
We organize networking events, conferences, and workshops that connect Black entrepreneurs with industry leaders, mentors, and potential clients and create an online platform or community where entrepreneurs can share experiences, seek advice, and collaborate.
As a Black Francophone Nonprofit organization, we support and have touch points with 300+ Black businesses in Alberta by providing access to resources and supports available for Black Entrepreneurs and Businesses, ensuring every Black Entrepreneurs and Business has easy, quick, and clear access to what they need to keep their businesses sustainable.

The Afro-Canadian Entrepreneurs Association (ACANEA) is a Black Francophone Entrepreneurs and Professionals Nonprofit Organisation in western Canada, headquartered in Edmonton and was founded in 2020. ACANEA was formed to Develop and Create Economic Development through Entrepreneurship within the underserved Black community through Education, Mentoring, Workshops, Training, Networking, Referrals to funding resources and access to capital opportunities. ACANEA Entrepreneurs Members and partners include a wide range of organizations that provide capital and services to assist underserved Entrepreneurs in creating and expanding their businesses.
