Career & Entrepreneurship Workshop Series

The September 28, 2024 workshop is designed to support immigrants, particularly members of the Black and Francophone communities, in their efforts to advance their careers or start a business in Alberta.

It addresses key challenges such as language barriers, foreign qualification recognition, and systemic discrimination.
Participants will explore opportunities in growing sectors such as cleantech and social services, while receiving practical advice on creating a business plan, managing finances, and networking.
The workshop will also offer personalized follow-up and mentoring sessions to help participants apply the strategies learned.

The goal is to provide resources and concrete support to succeed in Alberta’s dynamic job market and foster entrepreneurial integration.
