Impact of Afro-Canadian Entrepreneurs Association
Since launching the Association of African Canadian Entrepreneurs in 2020, we have supported hundreds of Black entrepreneurs with thousands of hours of coaching, training, access to capital and grants to take their businesses to the next level. We are contributing to a more inclusive and vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem that benefits the entire province of Alberta, driving economic growth, innovation and social progress.

Facilitate connections with investors, venture capitalists, and other funding sources and offer financial literacy programs to help Black entrepreneurs manage and grow their businesses effectively.
02 / Start your Business
ACANEA develops training programs and workshops covering essential business skills, including marketing, finance, and operations.
03 / Get Access to Capital
We approach local banks and credit unions for business loans. We Establish a strong business plan and financial projections to demonstrate the viability of the business.
04 / Networking Opportunities
We organize networking events, conferences, and workshops that connect Black entrepreneurs with industry leaders, mentors, and potential clients and create an online platform or community where entrepreneurs can share experiences, seek advice, and collaborate.
What we do
Developing and creating Economic Development through Entrepreneurship and Employability
The Afro-Canadian Entrepreneurs Association entrepreneurs’ members and partners include a wide range of organizations that provide training, workshops, startup business program, and access to capital, and services to assist underserved Black entrepreneurs in creating and expanding their businesses. As these businesses expand and succeed, they hire employees, thereby reducing unemployment and boosting economic activity in Canada.
