The Access to Employment Program is designed to support Afro-Canadian job seekers in Alberta by providing personalized employment services that help participants successfully enter, re-enter, and thrive in the workforce.
Through individualized career guidance, skills development, and direct connections to employment opportunities, the program equips participants with the tools and confidence needed to achieve sustainable career success.

Services Offered

  • Personalized Employment Support – One-on-one guidance tailored to individual
    career goals and employment needs.
  • CV & Cover Letter Development – Professional assistance in creating strong,
    competitive application documents.
  • Job Matching Services – Connections to employers and job opportunities that align with participants’ skills, experience, and aspirations.
  • Entrepreneurship Support – Guidance and resources for individuals interested in starting or growing their own business.

Who Can Benefit?

The program is intended for Afro-Canadian individuals residing in Alberta who are seeking employment, career advancement, or entrepreneurship support.

Program Eligibility

  • Afro-Canadians
  • Location: Alberta (Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer and Fort McMurray)
  • Status: Citizens, PR or Recognized Refugees who are allowed to legally work in
    Canada.
  • Employment Status: Unemployed and seeking full-time employment
