In order to counter the impact of the pandemic, ACANEA is offering a series of workshops on Black female entrepreneurship that aims to equip women in their entrepreneurial projects and professional careers, as well as to reduce the gap between men and women. The Association of African Canadian Entrepreneurs is a gathering place for Black women in business, a place of support for women in any business, and a place where women can gain more business knowledge, develop strong leadership skills and build a diversity network to help them succeed.

Networking for the ambitious

Networking for ambitious women online business owners.

About this event

Join us for an informal networking session with ambitious women building incredible businesses and driven by a sense of purpose and impact.
This is where we want to celebrate your business, help you succeed, find business partners and business soulmates.
Each session will include 15 minutes of strategy to help you grow your online sales without any gross tactics.
Followed by a networking session where we will seek to know your business, who you serve, what challenges you face. So, collectively, we can move forward!
Running your own business can be a lonely experience, where in fact not everyone around you understands your drive, your desire to succeed and your sense of calling. This is a space where we understand, we want to celebrate you, help you break down all barriers and take your business to the next level.

About the Impact Accelerator “Women’s empowerment remains a common denominator and a global imperative for all who care about equity and diversity, but also about productivity and the growth of more inclusive societies and economies. If we can achieve this, we all benefit.” – Christine Lagarde Women-led startups face a variety of challenges in their early stages of business. As we work to achieve global goals for gender equality and reducing inequality, there is growing concern about the lack of funding for women-founded startups in Alberta. Additionally, many female founders struggle with unconscious biases that limit their access to funding and other non-financial resources such as guidance, mentorship and networking to develop and grow their businesses while juggling multiple responsibilities. We offer 6 months of intensive support and training sessions to help you build confidence and take your startup or solution to the next level on your impact journey. Our mentors, coaches and networks will work to accelerate your growth and open up new opportunities with talent, investors and suppliers. We will work with your business to grow sustainably, while solving some of the world’s biggest challenges

About this workshop

This workshop is perfect for women who are already starting a business or have a business idea or a burning passion that they want to make a reality.

The first goal of the event is to build self-confidence and empower women to believe in themselves, take action, set results-based goals and achieve them. The second goal is to help women create a wardrobe they can be proud of. Learn how to choose and wear the right colors and clothes that suit them, based on their personality and their ever-changing figure.

·        There are too many people doing what I do, so I’m not unique

·        Not enough people want my product/service

·        No one has money, so no one will pay my price

·        Starting my own business is hard and I don’t know who to turn to
