  • Partnerships and collaborations
Collaborate with local community organizations, businesses, and government agencies to expand resources and opportunities. We host networking events to connect Black immigrants with professionals in their field. Foster a sense of community through cultural events and support groups.
  • Training for work
The Training for Employment program provides job search support to unemployed EI-eligible Albertans, semi-skilled and skilled workers who require assistance with changing jobs, short-term skills development and workforce adjustment. Training for Employment is a free, government-funded program designed for EI-eligible Alberta residents who are actively seeking employment opportunities. This training program provides short-term skills development through one-on-one coaching as well as group workshops on cover letters, resumes, networking and interview skills. Funded by Alberta Jobs, Economy and Trade.
  • Career guidance and mentoring
We implement mentoring programs that connect experienced professionals with Black immigrants, and we provide career counseling services to help individuals set realistic career goals and develop action plans. We implement regular evaluations to measure the effectiveness of the program. We use feedback to make ongoing improvements and adjustments.
