ACANEA’s online Business building workshops for young people will teach your kids and teens how to start a real business! ACANEA will help your kids and teens discover their passions and interests and inspire them to be future-ready, with ACANEA’s online business builder workshops! Our workshops teach practical life skills in a fun and engaging way. We believe in kid’s potential to positively impact the world, and we are committed to empowering and equipping them with the skills and mindset they’ll need to do just that. 

It is our sincere hope to teach them a love for business, and start-ups, through mentoring programs that engage, entertain, challenge, and inspire young minds to reach for the stars, and help civilization to the next level. We’re confident that the next google, the next amazon, or the next tesla like idea exists with our community. As leaders within the entrepreneurial world, we’re here to support that.

Start your Own Business

Description
Class Experience


We expect you to bring in this weekly, ongoing class student will explore what make a strong business idea, brainstorm their own business ideas and identify characteristics of successful Entrepreneurs. Have you ever thought about owning your own business? If so, what would the business be?

Week 1- What is an entrepreneur?

·       Understand what make a strong business idea

·       Brainstorm your own business idea

·       Identify characteristics of successful Entrepreneurs


Activity- Research successful Entrepreneurs

 

Week 2- Identify the problem, Need or Want

·       Identify possible first steps in starting a Business after developing an idea

Activity-Discuss and Explore Business idea


Week 3- Create a solution- Create a Business Plan

·       Identify possible first steps in starting a Business after developing an idea

·       Understand the importance and purpose of a business plan

·       Analyse several businesses plans and their effectiveness.

Week 4- Sell the Solution

·       Explain various to fund a new business

·       Analyze sample Elevator pitches and their effectiveness

·       Understand how social media marketing can help reach their target audience

Activity- Research fund opportunities for young Entrepreneurs

·       Craft a business presentation, advertisement, and Elevator pitch

Note: that you are not making an actual product, you will be working on the business idea, plan, pitch, and marking strategic that you would present to potential investors (Classmates).

From Zero to CEO

Description
Class Experience

In this Business program, students will start their own business step by step! They will choose a name, create a logo, develop a business plan, learn about money, and much more!  From Zero to CEO is an Entrepreneurship program, with practical, hand-on classes where learners receive direct mentoring and on one attention from an expert.

Bernado has over 15 years of experience in business, creating and selling products, and services, working with teams, acquiring customers, advertising on social media and Google, and he’s been in the Education industry for 8 years now, always developing learning technology and software to create more engaging education.

Make a Business Plan

Ever wanted to run your own business? Ever wanted to be the Boss? The first step is a clear and concise business plan. We will discuss the ins and outs of writing your very first ever business plan and implement strategy on how to keep it short and concise. We will discuss and strategize the 5 essential parts of making a business plan by answering these fundamental questions: What will you offer? Who are you offering it to? Who is your competition? What the next step? How much does it cost and how much will you make? We will then bring it all together in your very own business plan.

 

Learning Goals

 

Be able to write a one-to-two-page business plan within one to 2 hours.

 

Teacher Expertise

 

Alain has over 22 years running and operating his own business. He incorporated his first business at the age of 18 years old. He went on to incorporate his second business at age of 35 in international import/exports.

Teen Entrepreneur Business Camp in just 3 Days

Description
Class Experience

Your teens will have fun and make new friends, on the way to creating their very own business. We help young people discover their passions and develop real-world skills, delivered by live facilitators with a mix of online collaboration and offline challenges.

How it works:

·      3 days online program, 1.5 hours per day.

·      Launch a “big idea” using ACANEA exclusive online business “Launch Box”.

·      ACANEA’s facilitator takes students through each step of the ACANEA Launch Box starting with self-discovery, ideation, planning and preparing to get their idea ready to launch.

·      Fun and interactive sessions with a live facilitator to guide and mentor students throughout the program, including learning tasks, fun games and activities and group discussions.

·      Afterward, complete offline challenge they can do from home.

·      Hear from inspiring successful kid and grown-up entrepreneurs.

·      Make new friends, collaborate online in a safe friendly environment.

 

Workshops  Outline:

 

Session 1:
Let’s think about this and name it! Come up with a business idea and identify what you need to set up an online shop including the name of your idea and product/ service descriptions and pricing.

 

Session 2:

Who’s it for? Student will understand who their customers are and how they are helping them. Student will conduct research to better understand their target market and develop a customer profile.

 

Session 3: 

let’s make a plan! – students will understand all the elements to turn their idea into reality what activities need to be completed, what resources will they need, who will help them and when will they spend time on their idea to turn it into a reality?

You don’t need to have an existing business idea before attending the workshop. ACANEA’s workshop will help you come up with your business idea (or help you an existing idea) and take you through a step by step process to help you get your ready to launch. ACANEA’s facilitators typically have a teaching and business background and are supported by the ACANEA team.

At the conclusion of the workshop, everyone will receive a certificate.

Learning Goals

·      Awareness and self-discovery – Uncover their superpowers by discovering their passion and interests

·      Problem solving, creating and collaboration- identify a problem that needs solving and use their problem-solving skills, creativity and superpowers to brainstorm to come up with a solution.

·      Public speaking and validation – develop a pitch to validate their idea and present within their groups to validate their idea.

·      Research and customer profiling- understanding who your customers are and how you’re helping them.

·      Customer service standards – conduct research on their competitors and brainstorm how they will stand out from the rest.

·      Planning and organisation skills – understand all the elements to turn their idea into reality – action plan, resourcing, time management. Students will work through each of these to come up with a detailed action plan and resource list.

·      Financial skills

·      Goal setting – students will set personal and business objectives using smart goals.

 

Age: 11-16 years olds
