Since the Afro-Canadian Entrepreneurs Association launched in 2020, we have helped hundred Black Entrepreneurs with thousand of hours of training, coaching, training, and access to capital, and grants to take their businesses to the next levels.

 

We are building Black Businesses capacity to grow and improve outcomes.

ACANEA organized a showcase event to celebrate and promote products and services by participants. Providing an opportunity to present to the local community and potential customers.

Black Business Showcase

The 2023 Black Business Showcase will take place in Edmonton Expo Centre on the 21st of October 2023. The Afro-Canadian Entrepreneurs Association (ACANEA) is the first-ever Business fair to celebrate BIPOC entrepreneurs, in collaboration with Innova Circle. We are currently anticipating an audience of about 1200 bilingual attendees, 60 exhibitors, and 15 speakers from all over Canada. Our goal is to enhance capacity by building confidence for growth through strong representation. ACANEA is Black Francophone Nonprofit organization that address equity and opportunity for the Black community in business, employment, education and economic development. We’re committed to motivating and empowering Black community in business to follow his dream

Black Women Entrepreneurs Networking

The workshop designed to empower Black Women Francophone Entrepreneurs in Alberta, providing them with the tools, resources, and community support needed to excel in their entrepreneurial endeavors. This program provides workspace, mentorship, training, and resources to help Black women Francophone entrepreneurs grow their ideas and businesses.

Senior Activities

The community kitchen creates a space conducive to social interactions. Seniors can exchange cooking tips, share family recipes and establish friendships. It can also have emotional benefits by reducing the risk of social isolation and depression. And also The community kitchen encourages the active participation of seniors in preparing meals. This may include menu planning, purchasing ingredients, preparing dishes and cleaning up. Participating in these activities can enhance feelings of responsibility and accomplishment.

Career Pathways For success

Afro-Canadian Entrepreneurs Association (ACANEA) in collaboration with Manpower Alberta is hosting an event dubbed as “Career Pathways for Success” this new year! The event aims to facilitate meaningful discussions and connections between job seekers, aspiring entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and workforce development stakeholders. Join ACANEA and Manpower for an exciting in-person event.
