The objectives are to learn how to start a business in Alberta and all of Canada. Understand the Canadian market and know the sources of financing available to new immigrants.

BLACK WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

To counter the effect of the pandemic, the ACANEA is offering a series of workshops for Black women’s entrepreneurship which aims to equip women in their entrepreneurial projects and their professional careers, as well as to reduce the gap between men and women. Afro-Canadian Entrepreneurs Association is a place for Black business women to come together, for women to support women in either business, and a place for women to gain more business knowledge, develop strong leadership skills, and build a network of diversity to help them succeed.

MENTORSHIP FOR BLACK ENTREPRENEURS PROGRAM

ACANEA offers a mentorship program for Black Entrepreneurs, pairing business veterans (Mentors) with Entrepreneurs (Mentees). The coaching the Entrepreneurs receive helps them to develop entrepreneurial attitudes and skills. The relationship between Mentors and Mentees, based on free choice, mutual trust, and confidentiality, creates a space where they can step back for a moment and see things more clearly, a chance to talk frankly and exchange business experiences.

BLACK YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

 This program is to encourage Black youth Entrepreneurs to get involved in entrepreneurship. We provide mentorship and resources to aspiring Black youth Entrepreneurs aged 18-39 years across Canada, helping them launch successful businesses. Our programs put Black Entrepreneurs on the path to success.

 Program Highlights:

• During the training, the participants will get the opportunity to connect with local entrepreneurs, mentors, and funding sources and gain access to other business resources during this training

• During training, trainees will be paired with mentors to gain on-job training and develop their network in the black community.

ELEVATION PROGRAM

This program is to help the company to increase revenue through Mentorship, training, and get access to financing.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION

We are providing Black Entrepreneurs tools for personal growth, production, and profit by holding workshops and events to gain knowledge on topics regarding business and leadership.

THE INTEGRATION AND REINTEGRATION OF THE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES PROGRAM

This program is to promote the integration, education, retention, and employment of people with a disability.

Objectives:

  • Employment integration service
  • The reintegration of employees following a work accident
  • Training the Entrepreneurs in the process of hiring people with disabilities
  • Help to develop personal skills, useful for their integration into employment
  • Support the professional life of people with disabilities
