Startup a Business Plan

A startup business plan is a written document that outlines your ideas and strategies for launching, managing, and eventually existing your new venture. A well-constructed business plan can be crucial to the success of any entrepreneurial endeavor. As you prepare your proposal, keep in mind that it will evolve as you learn more about the market. This training will teach participants how to create good research and a well-written business plan. Many Entrepreneurs start their companies without a startup business plan. They don’t know how to write one or think it’s too much work- but the trust is, that having a plan helps. Writing a business plan make a world of difference for entrepreneurs who desire external funding. It involves determining your target customers, understanding what makes them tick, and figuring out how to reach through marketing campaigns.

Business Mentoring

The Training Department offers a mentorship program for Black Entrepreneurs, pairing business veterans (Mentors) with Entrepreneurs (Mentees). The Mentors help the Black Entrepreneurs to develop entrepreneurial attitudes and skills. The relationship between Mentors and Mentees, based on free choice, mutual trust, and confidentiality, creates a space where they can step back for a moment and see things more clearly, a chance to talk frankly and exchange business experiences.

Why work with a Mentor?

  • To give you more faith in your abilities
  • To help you decide and act more confidently
  • To guide you through tough challenges and stay focused on what’s important.
